About Japjeet
Japjeet Singh Uppal is one of the youngest elected officials in the State of California. At just 22 years old, Japjeet was sworn into Livingston's City Council, and he's served his hometown with integrity since.
Growing up in Livingston, Japjeet witnessed firsthand how corporations and special interests control our government while working families struggle to get by.
“The political machine is rigged against working people. It's time to break it and build a government that works for all of us—not just the wealthy and well-connected.”
Now, Japjeet is running for State Assembly District 27 to bring his fight for real reform to Sacramento. He's committed to taking on the entrenched interests that have made our politics dysfunctional, banning corporate money from campaigns, and ensuring that government serves the people—not special interests.
Japjeet believes in a California where healthcare is a right, housing is affordable, and monopolies don't control our economy. He's running to be a voice for those who have been shut out of the political process for too long.
